Security tag removing devices are called detachers, removers, and keys. It doesn't matter what you call them, they all do the same thing! Every hard security tag out there requires a detacher for the cashier to use. Each tag has a specific type of detacher that will release the pin or ink tag allowing you to remove, store, and reuse the security tags.Without a deteacher it is very difficult to remove the tags: ie) a shoplifter forcing a tag off. Be sure to match the right detacher with the right tags.
